Klang's Conspiracy Theory On Dried BKT.

Firstly, i will pose two questions -

1)Have you ever notice that, for those shops that sell individual bowl of BKT, they normally will frawn whenever you request for top up of soup (unless you top up a bowl of rice)? Especially those who really have delicious and quality soup, right?

2) And have you ever notice that those stalls who are willing to generously top up your soup request also have dried BKT?

Let me share with you my insights (Being a BKT lover myself and staying in Klang for some many years). Dried BKT meat is derive from the ones cooked in the soup type. They will then place the meat in claypot and add in oil, some Cheong Chan caramel sauce, a lil bit of oyster sauce, dried chilli, slices of ladyfingers and bits of dried cuttlefish for the taste. Which is why they call it dried BKT, and they do serve a bowl of BKT soup to go with your order.

Now ......let me tell you a story about the reason people created or sell dried BKT at their shop. Believe it or not is entirely up to you la.....

You see, all of us BKT lovers love the soup and normally would want to top up the soup many many rounds right? In order for the BKT sellers to meet the customers requirements, they need to use more meat and bones to prepare the soup. But at the same time, if they continue to sell only soup base BKT, they will still face the same problem. Hence, they come up with an idea and serve you dried BKT. Some people people prefer dry BKT and would have taken less of the soup. This way, they have some "Savings" for those who soup lovers.

What do you think of this theory of mine?

Dream 071008 (Nightmare Version)

I had a strange dream, it goes like this.......

Me and my wife was stranded in a small town, somehow we can't locate our car and we were taking a break in a restaurant. After our meal, another couple from the restaurant join us and take a bus ride. We follow the couple in the bus and after some distance, we realised we were on the wrong bus!

Rang the bell and the bus drop us at nowhere (Hmmm....i am beginning to get restless in real-life). Started walking until we reach a bus station. While waiting for the bus, a hooligan started to disturb my wife. I stop him immediately telling him politely that the person he is disturbing is my wife. Being a hooligan, he said "So what?" and continue to disturb my wife in front of me and the crowd.

In order to protect her, i grab hold of the hooligan's hand. He stare at me and presses his cigarette onto my spec lens (Obviously he is picking a fight). So i grab hold of his arm and throwing him off the balance twice (Judo style). He stood up, throw his cigarette butt at me and wanted to fight back. Before he throw the first punch, i called out to the public and ask for their help "Please help us, my wife is being disturb, please help us to fend of such hooligan. Don't let such type of people continue his action". A crowd start coming to our help (Relief a bit).

But the hooligan happens to have his supporters too :( . Then, when i look back, my supporters beginning to step back. I got panic and tried to look for my wife and pray that she is at the right mind (Cool enough) to make calls to the police to ask for backup. Things getting intense, i woke up from the nightmare and dying for a pee.

If you were to face such situation, what would you do? Can you rely on people to back you up? Will the police able to reach you on time to save you?

Malacca Trip 250908

My birthday, the best way to celebrate is to be with my family and go for a trip, that way i can get away to de-stress, at the same time to used up some of accumulated Legend Worldwide Holidays time-sharing entitlement.

So, off we went and stay at this hotel called Everly Resort (Formerly known as Riviera Beach Resort) located at Tanjung Kling, Klebang Beach Malacca.

First look we walk to the reception, my impression is that it is quite a nice grand hotel but the facilities a bit wear and tear already. I remember many years back, i used to drop by once to this hotel and during that time, it really impresses me a lot then.

So off we walk to our rooms with our luggage, reached our room and wow! we were impressed with the "Touch n Go" key pad. Nice!

Walked inside the room and first thing i check out was the balcony view. Nice view too with seafront and Kampung view.

The room setup is a simple one, just like a studio suite (One room with a queen size bed, detached toilet, one small living room with 3+2 sofa and TV, kitchen w table and a balcony). Suitable to cater for 5-6 people if you are planning for a family trip, of course you need to bring some extra sleeping bag to do so.

Now the setback is that the room condition is quite wear and tear, the walls condition are quite dirty and the worst part is the bed. The bed basically slump down in the middle and very soft. It is not suitable to cater for 2 adults and one small baby who will spread his arms when sleeping. Tried sleeping for the first night for all 3 of us, ended up having backache for mummy and daddy and sleepless nite too. So, we did ask for a bed on the 2nd nite. Ha! only then everyone can sleep better.

We went there on the weekday (Thursday) and the place is practically dead and we had the pool are by ourselves. BB Zen had a great time playing in the pool with mummy and dada. It was the first pool experience for BB Zen.

The people working at Everly is very friendly especially the pool side team. BB Zen loves to wave to them and they will also wave back at BB Zen too :)

Bottomline, if you are looking for a place to rest your soul......Everly is a nice place, faraway from the hustle and bustle of the city, a tiny sandy beach for you to dip your feet and build sand castle with your love ones.

But if you are looking for a place to catch up on your sleep, not suitable for 3 person on the bed PLEASE! (Don't jump to conclusion that i am proposing for any threesome action here).

Passing Of A Love One - My FIL

It's difficult when we face the fact that we have lost someone dearest to us.

Last Sunday @ 3rd August 08, my father-in-law (FIL) have passed away in the morning. We receive a call from the hospital early in morning but they didn't mentioned anything during that time, they only requested our presence as soon as possible. Possible, they wanted us to be in a stable and calm condition to drive to the hospital. Upon arrival, only then they break the news to my wife that her father have moved on.

My FIL have been admitted in the hospital almost a month now due to stomach & liver cancer (Same case as my late mother-in-law a year ago+). Due to the cancer, he also lived through a stroke but were paralysed.

When i heard the news, my immediate reaction was not sad but a sense of relief for my FIL, for i know he doesn't need to suffer anymore, no more Morphine injections, no more self-frustration and no more pain.

My FIL is now resting in peace now in Setiawan where he is buried close to his parents and siblings. Back to the place where he grew up, the place where he is known to all and love by all.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the friends and family members who contribute and attend the funeral service.

But most important of all, this post is dedicated to both my late MIL and FIL who approved the hand in marriage to my precious wife who in return gave me a precious son, Zen.

Gundam Model Kit Mid year Competition @ Sg Wang Plaza

Recently i went to a Gundam Model Kit competition at Sg Wang to check out all the entries and i manage to took some shots. It was kind of difficult to take good angle shots since the place was jam-packed and everyone was trying hard to get a piece of the action. This is the best that i manage to shoot.

The Winners are .........

I didn't manage to pen-down the winners name coz the whole place was kind of crowdy and noisy at the same time.

Congrats to my buddy for winning the 2nd Runner Up prize, yo! Ray, can you give me some pointers on how to improve my skills?

Check out this 2 latest Gundam model kits being featured.

1/100 Gundam Unicorn - I bought it already (^o^)v

This baby can expand its shape and size, a really cool unit.

1/100 Gundam Shin Musha

This unit already in my "To Buy" list. I love the details on the armour and the weapons the Shin Musha Gundam carried.

Here's more pics i took on the event.

I wish someday, i have the guts to submit one of my models in one of the competition.

Stand By Me!

I had a bad bad day at work! Things are not coming thru smoothly and was lectured by my boss. The saddest part is when he asked me "Are You Looking For A Way Out!!!".....How demotivating! The best part is, we just went for a training recently to groom ourselves to be a better manager/superior in handling our staff - showing empathy and be careful with our words when we manage our staff. Well, with the remark coming out from his mouth yesterday, it only shows that he's not a good listener, not a good preacher and definitely not a motivating leader!

So, feeling lousy and demotivated, i drove back to my home-sweet-home, worn out in terms of physical and mentally. I open the door and i can hear little tip toe-ing that my darling wife is trying to give me a surprise (Earlier, i send her a sms that i had a bad day at work, so i guess she wanted to cheer me up - I LOVE YOU, MY "TLOML" & THANK YOU FOR STANDING BY ME.
But halfway down the stairs, my baby started to giggle and it blow away the surprises. My wife walk up close to me, place baby down and the "REAL SURPRISE" hit me..........OMG, my baby WALK to me, he practically WALK TO ME! He reached my arms, STANDING NEXT TO ME, starred at my face, gave a lil' cheeky smile. The feeling is so great and happy. My boy, he's reached a new level again.

This blog is dedicated to my wife and baby......Thank you so much, you are the source of my life and energy.

We declare 29th May 08, Baby's Official Walking Day.......10 months, 3 weeks and 1 day old.

Litterbugs Everywhere. Arghhhhh

I have been meaning to write about this issue for the longest time. Basically, i hate litterbugs. I meant, people simply think that this world belongs to them and just throw rubbish everywhere. OMFG (Oh My "Freaking" God, don't mind my language), come on people; teach yourself and your kids to respect earth and mother nature, and stop throwing rubbish around. I see people throwing rubbish when driving, kids throwing rubbish after eating their food and the general public throwing things everywhere.

What gives you to right to throw rubbish everywhere? Do you like it if i throw rubbish inside your house. You won't like it, right?

We need to start cultivating the mentality ourselves to keep the earth clean, and then teach our children and peers to do so. If you're a driver, you can either get a mini rubbish bin or at least place a plastic bag to keep your rubbish. And if you're a student, at least have the decency to go find a rubbish bin.

Teacher and the government have to do their part too in guiding the students and the public the importance of keeping the earth clean. I know, I know, The MPs (Majlis Perbandaran) are not doing their part too. I meant, sometimes it is kinda difficult to find a rubbish bin when you needed one. But that shouldn't be an excuse for not doing our part to keep the earth clean.

Let's do our part, start off with ourselves and only then to guide our own children to walk the right/clean path.
